Working Groups
CanPartner Working Group
The CanPartner Working Group plays a key role in ensuring that CANTRAIN remains firmly rooted in its commitment to meaningful patient engagement across all levels of decision-making. Co-chaired by a clinical scientist and a patient partner, the group includes an equal number of academic and clinical scientists and patient, community and family members. Together, they collaborate to co-develop educational content as subject matter experts and provide guidance across all CANTRAIN learning streams—helping to shape training that is inclusive, patient-oriented and grounded in lived experience.

Mentorship Program Working Group
The CANTRAIN Mentorship Program Working Group brings together a diverse group of members from across Canada to guide the development and implementation of CANTRAIN’s national mentorship initiative. Grounded in the principles of mutual learning and inclusion, mentorship is defined as a dynamic learning relationship where mentors and mentees share skills, knowledge, and experiences through thoughtful conversations, storytelling, and role modelling. This two-way partnership values difference, fosters growth, and supports professional development across a wide range of clinical research contexts (Definition based on European Mentoring & Coaching Council, 2021).
