BIOGRAPHY: Glen Hazlewood is a rheumatologist and Associate Professor of Medicine
at the University of Calgary. His research focuses on medication effectiveness and
safety, patient preferences, and clinical practice guidelines in rheumatoid arthritis and
other rheumatic diseases. He is the current Chair the Guidelines Committee through
the Canadian Rheumatology Association (CRA), leads CRA rheumatoid arthritis
guidelines, and is co-chair of an OMERACT group exploring the role of patient
preferences in clinical trials in rheumatology.
